A highly entertaining and thrilling one-hour competition series celebrating magic and featuring the legendary magician duo Penn and Teller. On each episode, aspiring magicians from all around the world are invited to perform their best trick to try and fool the two. To avoid spoiling the tricks, when Penn and Teller are able to guess how the contestants' magic works, they usually explain it in code, and when the contestants do manage to fool them, they are rewarded with a guest spot on their famous magic show in Las Vegas. At the end of each episode, P&T also perform one of their own impressive tricks. British television and radio personality Jonathan Ross served as host until 2016, when Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) star Alyson Hannigan took over as the new charming host.

Starting over isn't easy, especially for small-town guy John Nolan who, after a life-altering incident, is pursuing his dream of being an LAPD officer. As the force's oldest rookie, he's met with skepticism from some higher-ups who see him as just a walking midlife crisis. For example, at the beginning of each "Day" there is a voiceover of Jason Blaine telling the viewer what time the series takes place between. Also, at the beginning of each episode, there is a "Previously on The Rookie" section, again with a voice over by Jason Blaine. The splitscreen is incorporated into the episodes often to show phone conversations as well as to wrap up each episode. However, it does not take place in real time.
Will Trent is determined to use his perspective to ensure no one is abandoned like he was. Based on the bestselling "Will Trent" series by Karin Slaughter.

Liza Miller, a suddenly single stay-at-home mother, tries to get back into the working world, only to find it's nearly impossible to start at the bottom at 40-year old. When a chance encounter convinces her she looks younger than she is, Liza tries to pass herself off as 26 and lands a job as an assistant at Empirical Press. Now she just has to make sure no one finds out the secret only she and her best friend Maggie share.
Celebrity interviews, comedic bits and musical performances accent this venerable late-night staple, which is hosted by former "Late Night" host and "Saturday Night Live" funnyman Jimmy Fallon.
